<title>Comments on: Norfolk and Western train DN90 ( Detroit-New York) is clipping along the CN Cayuga Sub at Canfield Jct in this September 1970 image.
Because GP7 3453 is not displaying white lights or flags, we know that DN90 is operating as timetable Fourth class freight No.90 as he moves between St. Thomas and Duff (the yard limit board at Ft Erie). Those auto racks are carrying another shipment of FORD Maverick&#8217;s built at the Talbotville assembly plant. N&amp;W may have ceased their Canadian operations shortly after the Wabash merger of 1964, had FORD not decided to build the Talbotville plant. The Woodlawn Stamping plant south of Buffalo provided many of the parts used on the assembly lines, so N&amp;W practically fell into the business that moved in both directions. The 3453 was the only roadswitcher purchased from the GMD plant by Wabash ( as their 453 ) and spent nearly it&#8217;s entire life within Ontario.</title>
