On my first solo road trip to the Kootenay region, a northward train of empties was followed from Cranbrook, with a big MLW, CP 4501, leading and a plain SD40, CP 5518, trailing, Nearing Kimberley, at a crossing of Knighton Road (mileage not recorded) in the area known as Chapman Camp, nearly 50 years ago on 1974-04-25, an everyday scene was caught, before SD40-2s in their increasing numbers took over in the west. http://www.railpictures.ca The BEST Canadian photos on the Internet, eh?
