Comments on: Nostalgia trip. (for me) Found a few old B/W images taken at the TH&B Chatham St yard, a location I group with Aberdeen since they were in such close proximity.
Nice sunny day in early June 1985. A visit showed TH&B 75 and 403; and behind, CP 4226 and 4246; probably power that would be addressed to the Steel Train which ran to Nanticoke back at the time.
This image was shot with Ilford 120 roll film in a Graphic 2×2 inch film holder mounted on the back of my 4×5 Speed Graphic. This was rather cumbersome. I had been trying it out …. just because, I guess. I also had a 2×3 back for the camera; sharper images but fewer per roll. Best was just using the 4×5(inch)as it was meant to be; a negative that size made for stunningly sharp images…….but I experimented with lesser sizes from time to time….all in the matter of costs………….

Looks like the frame is starting to bend on 403. Hard to tell with the access cover open, but it doesn't look very straight

TH&B 75 was a survivor — known well to me years later as CP 1685 at Port Coquitlam, lasted to 60 years from new when retired 2014-07-01, still with many TH&B details intact. GP9 engine, but still smaller GP7 radiator cores!
