Comments on: Not a very long train for a Saturday version of the Toronto to Niagara Falls (and return) CN 6060 excursion. But still well patronized considering it has been running for a few years thru the summers already. Here we see the oil fired steam engine really turning it on as it passes the city’s old passenger station, still in use as of this day. Todays version of the station is a bit different since an addition at the close end was added around 1990, serving as a bingo hall and now a church of sorts. CN 6060 lives on, out in Alberta.

Oh but yes, John. CN 6060 was the highlight of many of my days out. Unlike many of the short tourist runs, this gal thundered by. Geez, 45 years ago……………

WOW ! Can hear that rapid “stack talk” like it was yesterday. Great picture, capturing essence of CNR steam powered passenger trains from the ‘50’s ! So well done !
