Mike, I am glad you got a charge out of this image; it does reflect busier times along the CP. I was out 4 hours on the line today and did not see a single move. But I have learned to take a good book with me. At least you do have that Essex Terminal if you get desperate to see something rolling. )

This brings back memories of my childhood days playing in Memorial Park next to the Windsor Sub. in Windsor. When I was a tot (born in 1998) my grandma would take us down to Memorial Park in Windsor which is right next to the Windsor Sub. I remember seeing the Expressway and Triple Crown trains plus all of the classic CP power in the early 2000s. I’m 17 now and still watching the trains although they seem to be a but more scarce now. I remember when we could see up to 3 or 4 an hour on this line and now you’re lucky if you can see 2. Great photo, brought back great memories.

Interesting. I recall that SOOs were usually on trains like CP 153 and CP 159. Remember CP 153 with those white “Omya” (or something like that) tank cars up front. These use to roll through about 10 years ago as per my photos and videos. I love this spot! Again, nice shot.

CTP: Yes, I have seen the Triple Crown in PA, and I did catch it on what used to be Conrail thru Silver Creek, NY and know I have seen it elsewhere in the States, but memory seems to have gone AWOL on locations. The only place I ever see it any more is on CN Sou Ont.

I’m not surprised that you caught the Triple Crown. Have you ever caught on NS in The States? I think it used to go as far west as Kansas City MO but not sure where they run today.
