<title>Comments on: Not many railways cross what you may consider a &#8216;divided highway&#8217; and this is one of the few spots in Canada.
Pictured is CN 542 crossing Highway 6/7, the &#8220;Hanlon Expressway&#8221; in Guelph. Construction has begun on the new highway 7 finally, and this rail crossing will be closed in the not too distant future (about a year). In it&#8217;s place a new connection west of Royal Road will be constructed to connect the North and South GJR industrial spurs (it will cross Massey road near Hood Packaging/Hastech). CN gave up/lost the traffic to Smurfit-Stone (Packaging plant) so they rarely cross here anymore, GEXR/GJR handles this work now</title>
