Comments on: Not sure why I was down in this area, however, went out looking and saw a set of headlights in the distance. Here, CN 2548 as well as another unidentified unit, lead train 439 past the site of the old station. It was also in this area, that back in 1854 near where the line carried over Baptiste Creek at the edge of town, that one of Canada’s most deadliest train accidents occurred (in this photo, about where the train fades off into the horizon).
