CN abandoned the middle section of each railway, csx opted to discontinue operations in favour of haulage, ns switched to a stamford/grimsby/dundas/talbot sub routing in '96, but kept running via chatham sub. Also worth noting in '94 ns discontinued their Detroit ferry in favour of the tunnel in Windsor, this rerouted ns trains over csx sarnia at chatham to Fargo and caso to detroit. Funny enough in 1995 you could shoot two to four csx, two ns, and two to four CN trains on the caso from Fargo to windsor. A underrated hotspot that was largely ignored... CN was pulling up the center section of the Cayuga Sub, forcing the NS trains up the Talbot Sub from St.Thomas and over the Dundas Sub to the Grimsby Sub....
