As seen from the lookout at former Hamilton West, CN 9506, with extra flags, has six coaches in tow, interesting variety………that looks to be the Observation car on the end; huge window in order the big wigs can watch the miles roll by……….Six cars…..kinda means the railroad was a tad management heavy back then, wouldn’cha think? All those boys going for a free ride :o) (The 9506 went to the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority in 1995)

I don’t recall the details, but probably someone friendly with someone from CN got a phone call, then passed the info to someone else who tore off over to Bayview to inform us this train was out there. The bearer of fruitful news was a very prestigious & popular person back in those days. Scanner talk was there, but not nearly as informative as now.
