Circling back to my old question, pipe is occassionally loaded on the centrebeams still. Just not often at all anymore.

Did they formerly load the pipe onto centrebeams as opposed to those DWC bulkhead pipe cars they use now?

They added a new plow (more compliant?) to this unit, doesn’t look as nice as this! It’s tacked onto the existing plow too.
