Comments on: On a late January afternoon I found myself following GEXR 583 northward on the Guelph Junction Railway with clouds to the south, and pure setting sun to the north creating magnificent lighting conditions. 2117 is working hard with five cars as this is one of the good northward grades on GJR. The train is approaching what the railroaders call Danger Bell, known as such due to the angle of the road/rail crossing, poor visibility and naturally the potential for accidents. In recent years a Crossbuck had been replaced with flashers and lights to help improve safety.
