Comments on: On a recent trip to Lillooet I was fortunate enough to find the the Kaoham Shuttle at the station. CN 10800, (ex BCOL TU-108) and CN 10900, (ex BCOL TU-109) were built by Jim Busby Services in 1999 and purchased by BC Rail in 2002 when their regular passenger service ended. The Kaoham Shuttle is operated in partnership with CN and the Seton Lake Indian Band, and provides service to the communities of Shalalth and Seton Portage with trips further south to D’Arcy, available by reservation only. Doug Lawson’s photo: ID 32222, shows BC Rail TU-108 before the switch to CN logos and colours.

Pretty sure that schedule is up to date. I spoke with the crewman and he said the shuttle would depart at 3:30. Thanks for sending it along.

Yes - Very popular. Has allot to do with the scenery. People have made the mistake however, of hopping on one of these and heading for Seton Portage between Monday and Thursday only to find that it was a one way trip with no way back to Lillooet. There are warnings posted at the station now announcing that round trips are scheduled on Fridays only.

I couldn't stand that this happened on the former BC Rail - that the RDC's would be replaced with this - and these things I despised. But it's legit - and I've read it's one of the secrets of the tourism industry there - and people are using it in droves i'm told.
