Comments on: On a snowless day in February 1981, I caught this eastbound ( ? train 904 perhaps) with GP35 5021 leading a pair of RS18′s and F7 4036. The CPR brick station is still standing in this image, but it would soon be relocated to Fred’s Nursery on McNaughton Ave East ( by 1983, brick by brick). Love seeing your old photos of this area as I know reside in Chatham. Thanks for the info in regards to the old station too. It is no longer a part of Fred Nursery...looks like that business folded. Although...the station is still in great shape....which can't be said of the former station grounds. Now one big municipal parking lot...and where you see the end of the express building in your photo....nothing but a row of pine trees today. Bruce….keep em coming!
