Comments on: On January 9, 2015 the GEXR ran a plow on portions of the Guelph sub. Unfortunately my night shift that day prevented me from chasing it. (Thanks Steve for the heads up :) word was out that they would park the train in Stratford yard for the night before plowing to Goderich the next day. Unfortunately I once again was out of luck for catching it the next day. I decide instead to head to Stratford after my night shift to try photograph the train in the yard. The weather quickly deteriorated as I headed west of Kitchener. By the time I reached Stratford white out conditions made the roads very dangerous and hard to find. On arrival at the yard I soon found the plow train parked well in the yard. The heavy wind gusts and -35 temps took my breath away and froze up my camera after only a dozen shots, luckily I got what I came for. The warm glow inside the plow did nothing to warm up my hands and camera as the lake effect winds continued throughout the night. The glowing light seen beyond the power in the distant is from train 432 awaiting refuelling.
