Comments on: On May 5, 1995, CN had officially opened the new St. Clair River tunnel connecting Sarnia and Port Huron, Michigan. During the weekend of May 6-7 CN held many festivities in Sarnia and Port Huron to commemorate the event. CN had operated employee specials for workers across Southern Ontario as well as the US so they could attend the events along with their families. Both the American and Canadian passenger trains travelled down the Port Edward Spur in Sarnia to Centennial Park where the bulk of the festivities took place including live entertainment and displays. Here, the 20-car Blue Water Special with GT 6401, Amtrak 369 and Amtrak 297 are seen arriving near the Sarnia waterfront. This train hauled GT employees from Battle Creek, Lansing and Flint to the “Employee Day” events.

@ Stephen C. Host- Thanks for the information and links to the other photos.

@ Kevin Flood- Yes it had quite the mix of passenger cars. That's neat you have a video of the same train. There were a lot of people filming and now I remember Al being there as well after you mentioned it today!
