Comments on: On Sept 25 2013, CSX ran it’s last train between Tupperville and Dresden to drop the final car to be loaded at the LAC elevator in Tupperville. The crew stopped for lunch at the dispatchers office just out of frame to the left before crossing the Sydenham River and proceeding onto Dresden to run around their train so they could switch Tupperville. 8 days later and all rail movements on this line south of Sombra would come to an end.
The municipality of Chatham-Kent took control of the line on October 4 2013, at the same time they sold the infrastructure to CP- who threatened to remove the rails if an operator wasn’t found. CK however has recently taken full possession of these rails by buying them back from CP, securing the future of this line for at least a little while. A buyer/ operator is still being pursued to resume railway operations.

Not too sure. When I arrived in town it was already lined as the train was just entering Wallaceburg. The train sat here for at least half an hour, the crew got out and chatted with other CSX members and railfan Ron Bauwhuis before continuing to Dresden. Later in the day once the local passed on its way back to Sarnia the bridge was re-opened.

Same perspective different train :)
It was great seeing you there as well, maybe we will meet again at this spot in the near future - that is if rail service ever resumes.

Myles, it looks like that was when they were shoving back to Sombra - they arrived as a caboose hop. Silio at left also no longer works for CSXT. Love the framing though - a great shot and it was great to see you there.
