Comments on: On the afternoon following the region’s first major snowstorm, and CN’s takeover of the GEXR, Quebec & Gatineau 2008 lugs CN train no. 432 through the countryside at Mosborough, ON. A shot of redemption for those trackside after GEXR’s departure from Southern Ontario, which was swift and rather lacking of fanfare. Although these locomotives don’t read “GEXR”, their character is everything railfans came to love the railroad for. Nothing like old-school EMDs hauling heavy duty tonnage at speed. Perhaps things didn’t end the way people had expected them to, but as far as I’m concerned, this send off was good enough for me.
