Comments on: On the Galt, clean unit? Rare. New paint? Rare. The sun is out? Is this even possible? KCSM 4524 has suffered a serious failure and it shut down. There had been mention of the fire department and spilt oil on the scanner, but there are no signs of anything on this side of the unit. The hope is the lone unit will make it to Lambton with the 60-70 racks it’s hauling, but dubious about Toronto yard. And what will be the fate of the KC AC4400 with rumours abounding that CP will retire them one for one with the new kids arriving? It’s frustrating at times, but it’s never boring.

He'd make it to Lambton, but not Agincourt, not on only one unit. You'd have to go up Rosedale Hill and then a 1% ruling grade all the way up to Agincourt that starts after Eglinton Ave.

These will be a very common thing like the Transcon mainline very soon. Most transcon trains are led by these now. mEnjoy the KCS/M while we can...
