Comments on: One of the three morning trains I used to see most days up at “The Sound”; but forget what symbol. Parry Sound was a delight. Much more so in the ’80s when the station was alive with chatter and railroad men, but it still held my complete fascination as a place to visit all thru the ’90s. There were just too many other places to visit and so it was somewhat neglected. This was a typical morning image in the spring; the sun not quite around for the location to be backlit. CP 5923, 5947 and 5958 the power on this north(west)bound. The station has been reborn after going thru the ’90s neglected; and now with renovations complete it is a business concern as a “Gallery”. (note fencing) The passing track and yard track have not yet been removed. These days, trees have reached a height that puts most all of the scene in shadow.

Thanks. No end to the good times, the photographic angles and often better than average power rolling thru there. It is a beautiful town.
