<title>Comments on: Operating as No. 221 on CP’s Adirondack sub, Delaware &amp; Hudson’s Montreal Limited crosses the St. Lawrence River on its way to a scheduled 8:30 AM arrival at Windsor Station. Having departed Grand Central Station at 10:30 PM as part of Penn Central Train No. 63, the consist was turned over to the D&amp;H at Albany-Rensselaer departing at 2:15 AM as its train No. 9. The same October 26, 1969 PC timetable describes accommodations as “Lounge Sleeping Car Bedrooms New York to Montreal (Beverages and Buffet Breakfast)&#8221;,  &#8220;Sleeping Cars  Roomettes and Bedrooms New York to Montreal&#8221;, and  &#8220;Reclining Seat Coaches Between all points”. Why the Erie Lackawanna E8s? Between mid-1968 and mid-1972 (after the EL bankruptcy), both D&amp;H and EL were operated under common management in a holding company (DERECO) controlled by the Norfolk &amp; Western. EL E-units were often used on the Montreal Limited and the Laurentian when PAs weren&#8217;t available or additional steam heating capacity was deemed necessary.</title>
