Comments on: Originals – the Orginal bridge, built in 1888 for the Guelph Junction Railway at the site of Allan’s mill, while a trio of Montreal Locomotive Works originals cross over the Speed River in Guelph. This bucolic scene has changed little, except the operating Railway from Canadian Pacific to Ontario Southland in 1998. however, this site is to change significantly over the next year or two – a new railway bridge is scheduled to be installed, as it has reached end of life. Condos (highrises – a total of four!)) will go up behind the mill buildings in the background, and a new pedestrian bridge will be attached to the new Railway bridge or built adjacent to it. The railway will bisect the condo development, which will make for interesting photo opportunities in a few years time.

Great shot Steve! I remember staking out this location when I worked for the City of Guelph way back in 2005. I got a couple shots around this site on RP.net in January, 2005. I shot them with a point-and-shoot film camera if you can believe it!
