Comments on: Packed with patrons heading to the annual summer Canadian National Exhibition, TTC PCC 4345 operates on the busy CNE “522 Exhibition West” run between Dundas West Station and Dufferin Loop, heading southbound on Dufferin about to turn onto Springhurst and loop into Dufferin Loop, where 4345 will drop off its packed load a stone’s throw away from the CNE’s Dufferin Gates entrance. The car is seen passing Canadian General Electric’s factories along Dufferin Street: one of which was originally the “Sunbeam Incandescent Lamp Factory”, and the other CGE’s Carbon and Tungsten Lamp Works / Mazda Lamp branch, both of which were served by rail via trackage in the Liberty Village area.

Note the water-filled front bumper meant to reduce damage to other vehicles.

Note too the Diamond Taxi behind that for decades was the biggest cab company in Toronto.
