Comments on: Pete Newman’s posting of the 5 FPA’s twigged my memory. Sure enough, here is the same train from a different angle. CN train 62 from Toronto to Montreal had a heavy consist due to an Air Canada strike. All equipment was put into service as “the flyers” flocked back to railway stations. The strike lasted about one week, and provided some exceptional consists. Needless to say, the sound of 62′s passage was amazing.

If Jason Shron’s head didn’t explode when he saw this shot, it’s only because he hasn’t seen it yet!
This is why I don’t really pay attention to VIA these days… I mean really, what is the point when you see something like this?
So this is Pickering Jct where the York Sub joins the Kingston Sub. The overpass in the background would be Brock Road and the MC 401 is behind the trees. Barely recognize it today.
