The power for the "Rock" train on the Galt Sub was supposed to be 3 SD-40-2s with the suitable dynamic brake capacity for the hill south out of Waterdown. I was on the very first one they ran & we had 3 pages of special instructions specific to that train. Other suggested to me when we left the yard office, that they hoped for my family's sake my life insurance was in good standing. Of course, nothing untoward happened and many such trains were run. This was before the big GEs arrived.
