<title>Comments on: Prior to the arrival of second generation power from the mid-1960s to mid-1970s, CN main line freights in Central and Western Canada were dominated by GP9s and RS18s, supplemented by Edmonton-based F7s and FA/FB units maintained in Quebec and the Maritimes. So, it wasn&#8217;t that unusual to find a couple of &#8220;light weight&#8221; GP9s based in Winnipeg at Toronto Yard having arrived on a transcontinental freight. 19 similar units were based in Senneterre, Quebec in 1967 and they would also sometimes show up in the Golden Horseshoe.</title>
