Comments on: Probably my favourite catch on NS trains 327 / 328 from all the ones I saw. The later years of NS operations in Southern Ontario found a lot of foreign power kicking around. At the time I believe there were only 2 CNW painted Dash-9′s left on UP’s roster, so when word got out that the previous days 327 had this consist, I prayed the CNW would lead 328 the next day. As luck would have it things worked out as I caught it heading around the “cow path” at Hamilton West, and a lot of railfans headed out this day.

Caught this one at Grimsby. I agree it is one of the better catches. And I do recall thinking there would be a lot of people out for it, so stayed close to home, where I would have the scene all to myself. )

This one and another one escaped the paint booth for ages. I believe, they were yanked out of the Illinois Railway Museum where they had been stored, and off to to the paintbooth.

Correct me if I’m wrong.
