Comments on: QG 502 is northbound on CPKC’s Adirondack Sub in Montreal under a wall of rain with QGRY 4015, QGRY 3102, QGRY 3539 & QGRY 3538 for power. Even with a raincoat and an umbrella, I still got soaked (in fact I was already calling it a day and walking off when I saw the train come around a corner).

I agree. I think back at the time the skies opened up when that CN Funeral train came down the Grimsby sub a couple of years back. I'm surprised you stuck it out, Michael; even though I've already realized you are a real trooper.

I once was chasing the OBRY and at Forks of the Credit/Cataract area I walked in to the pedestrian bridge only to have the heavens open up... and I had my 50mm lens which provides "some" protection from the rain.. even still, you could not see the train through all the rain it was so hard..

In the 3 hours I chased, I had sun, storm, crazy rain and clouds, but like a bad snow squall, there is indeed times when you just can't get a shot anymore.

It's rare, so I'm ultra impressed you captured something this dramatic Michael!!!

Sometimes waiting the extra few minutes does indeed pay off, especially in this shot!
