Comments on: Quite a while ago I posted a similar picture to this (#34622) taken a week prior to this one. Work had been progressing, but not on schedule. This view is of the west entrance to the Hunter St tunnel in Hamilton, a project in which the floor was lowered thru the tunnel to accommodate the start-up of GO service to the former TH&B’s Hunter St station; ensuring enough clearance for the Bi-Level cars. The project took most of 1995 to complete. Seen in the photo is an eastbound CP 8236 with a rather filthy CP 4225 and what looks to be a train of boarding cars.
