Comments on: Rail tanker car UTLX 677323, with its 3257 Hot placard, sits across Concession 7 in Puslinch in the aftermath of the locomotive (CP 8565) clipping the pick up truck seen just poking out of the weeds as police and CP workers work to figure out why it happened. The locomotive sits 3000+ feet up the tracks as the last car of the 3300 foot car with a mixed manifest of ethanol and other tanker materials is visible through the tree. According to the scanner, the driver and the dog in the truck were fine.

Nasty..

I frequent these roads and I once saw some dumb-head, while waiting for the train to enter the crossing, get out, and place a coin on the track with mere seconds for the train to cross - like 1 or 2 seconds... i scolded the dumb-bell and his response? "I do this all the time". Right, and you won't get a second chance when your dead, not to mention the crew may have laid an egg and nearly dumped the air in fright of what they saw before their eyes.. a nightmare.

The CP Police can have a field day down in Puslinch.. but they are rarely in the area.
