Comments on: Railink 1285 (x-CANAC, xx-CN same number)idles on what is left of the old Dunmnville sub (lifted 1985) with a short cut of cars. The renovated CN Caledonia station can be seen on the left. Perhaps the lads have gone for a lunch break, after all they are a hop, skip and jump from a local Timmies. Evidence of a hot and dry mid summer can be seen in the form of some struggling grasses on the RoW. Not easy growing area in the best conditions.

Oh yes, more track. It shows on one of my old postcards. I wonder if it is for safety reasons so many stations had tracks realigned outward.

I always thought it was interesting how offset the station is from the tracks. Wasn’t there a third track on the left at one time?

What a great catch! I always tried to catch them here with no luck and these days it is probably impossible with the lack of any traffic on this stretch of track.
