Comments on: Rarely am I ever happy with the lighting that is displayed around any train that passes through Niagara, however I can’t complain about this. With evenings shortening everyday, and a CN 330 that shows up well later than usual, the sun ended up just above the roof of the station as it passed by with CN 2597 and IC “Deathstar” 1036. Looking a little more like CN 421, this train had autoracks and autoparts cars, the autoparts of which are especially a rarity. Nipping at 330′s heels was GO 781, which was 14 minutes late. If it had been on time, 330 likely would have held back at Nelles Road, and this decent lighting would have ceased to exist. Then again, I’d just be capturing a GO train with the sun in the background, however I take the freight. The sun makes the adjacent track look like it was part of a branch line, but indeed this particularly section is good for 60mph for freight, 65mph for passenger.

Anything special on 330, like foreign power? I missed it as I was on GO 787, speaking of which, I noticed a railfan at Merritton while passing there. Was that you?
