Comments on: Rather rough old image of recent history this is, but it gives an idea of the Chatham St TH&B facilities behind a freight getting ready to move out. TH&B 72, 75, 73 and 402 constitute the power for a train coming out of Aberdeen Yard, which is in the far background below the “mountain”. Background centre is the location of the TH&B shop and to the centre-left, the old coaling tower. This view is from 44 years ago. All gone now.

Brad: I am next to the Chatham St track overpass off Dundurn. The old enginehouse and shop area was accessed from Chatham St back then. Now, all the buildings have been razed. I am at least a half KM down from the Yard Office.

Aberdeen ‘station’ is out of sight arund the corner in the background. What I was standing on to take this shot, I honestly forget. Maybe just terra firma.
