Comments on: Right-of-Way protection Poseidon, one of CN’s firefighting trains sits idle on a car repair track at Kamloops, BC yard. The four cars in this unique consist were CN 100001 Command Center, CN 100005 tank car, CN 100004 bulkhead flat car, and CN 100009 tank car. The early arrival of VIA #1 The Canadian allowed me to detrain and photograph this special equipment just moments before the shadow of the Budd stainless steel equipment engulfed this sunlit view.

There are three of these CN trainsets for firefighting- all have different names and the equipment is different for each. Not too many photos out there yet-these are new to the system. Dunno if they all have a van,or just a bunk car on a flat for a command center. Does anyone know what the van was numbered before it became part of the fire train?
