Comments on: RLK 4057 pulls out of track HB42 at the Purina Plant in Caledonia on October 15, 2012. Today while driving through Caledonia I observed that the Purina Plant did not have a single hopper car in either of its tracks and the yard tracks in Caledonia which are always full were empty as well. Word is that Purina is scaling back production here and will be pulling out of Caledonia…rail service appears to be gone. This just leaves a single customer in Caledonia for the SOR to serve.

Just the Nicholson and Cates lumber yard which is located to the left of the station on the wye…but it is not shootable sadly

Georgia Pacific in Caledonia does not use rail service anymore their plant has been mothballed for over a year now. The CGC plant outside of Hagersville still does though.

Does the Georgia Pacific ToughRock plant still use rail service on the end of the former Hagersville/Rymal spur?
