Comments on: Running as nature intended, 1408 is long hood forward passing by buckwheat fields in Guelph-Eramosa township. It may not be the prairies, but 1408 is at home on what was once the Fergus subdivision, with many sections of 80 lb rail dating to the turn of the 20th century. The time is 0757 and the sun still has that golden hue you only get at sunrise and sunset. Getting up early to grab these guys before work was worth the effort.

Your timing really was perfect. The golden hues really do make make this photo. In another week, that winter wheat (not buckwheat) would undoubtedly have be harvested.
