Comments on: Running Extra.

Designed and manufactured in Canada,

MLW serial number 72757 – Circa October 1944

Wheel bearings check and lubrication stop – note the bearing lubrication jugs on the platform beside the tender.

At CN Belleville April 29, 1979 Kodachrome by S.Danko

Noteworthy: For a road that recently (1978) sold off all of the passenger equipment – except commuter – one can imagine the conversation in the General Manager’s office: the steamer is at Spadina, the charter next weekend is from Central Station…hmmm…

Running Extra: head end white markers and white flags.

Note: markers (oil lamps) on the tender and at left the out of service semaphores signals at the Operator shack.

Quite the sight, even in 1979

       Brighton

Very nice ! Love the tail end marker lamps on the tender. Must have been a fun day for the crew. Thanks for posting, John
