Comments on: Sass Road Crossing in Chatham hasn’t changed much. After all, there are still 2 tracks to cross, although the former westbound main does not continuously exist – only sections remain intact. But 32 years prior…a man who had a love for the railway, stood at Sass Road and captured the same train 72. The westbound main was still quite intact then, and I think the surprising factor in comparison to now, is that VIA train 72 still seemed to have at least 7 cars in it’s consist. I’d like to pair this photo with Bruce Mercer’s photo that was taken in 1985 for the Time Machine.

Thanks Todd, I am glad to have shared my photos from back then, and I'm glad that they were your inspiration to duplicate the scene. There will be a lapse in my postings until later in the summer but other shots from around the Great Southwest will be available at that time.
