	<title>Comments on: Six axle GMD-1 CN 1614 is at rest outside Symington Diesel Shop, wearing CN class GR-612a.
My source indicates CN 1614 was a 1988 rebuild of GMD-1 CN 1046, becoming  the highest numbered 1600. 
CN 1600&#8242;s were rebuilt 6 axle (A1A-A1A) GMD-1&#8242;s.  CN 1400&#8242;s are rebuilt 4 axle (B-B) GMD-1&#8242;s. 
In 1998, CN 1614 was converted to B-B trucks and became CN 1444, class GR-412b. I guess lower axle load GMD-1&#8242;s for lightweight rail branch lines were no longer required.  
Oddball numbered SW1200RS CS-02 (car shop) switcher is to the right, painted black overall. 
I found a picture of a CS-02 switcher in Edmonton at a later date with the usual CN orange cab and front.
