The CN crews always put the traffic signal in to railway pre-emption before occupying the road, however they always take the traffic signal out of pre-emption while the train is still on the road as James’ picture illustrates. They should clear the road before turning the signal back to normal operation… but that would require more walking.

Why Rob? They used the signals properly when I saw it in 2009 – clearly they did not on this day.
