Comments on: Somehow it has already been three and a half years since I snapped this shot. For a while a late morning arrival in Guelph would often find both GEXR locals 542/580 working the yard in town together. I have always been a fan of the GP40X model, well honestly locomotives with flares are look good to me. For a while GEXR motive power seemed to get a bit boring but the addition of fresh power from other G&W railroads certainly added a bit of excitement to heading track side and this slug set combo certainly added that for me. Unfortunately it was relatively short lived at least for the slug as it had a number of mechanical issues that eventually sidelined it to the end of GEXR operations on the Guelph subdivision.
