It was eventually acquired by Genesee & Wyoming and became Huron Central Railway (HCRY) 459 in spring 1998. It was later transferred to the Buffalo & Pittsburgh Railroad (BPRR) and became BPRR 459. Several years later it was rebuilt as BPRR SD40M-2 3063 retaining the SD45 style carbody.
