This fabulous photo has me wondering something. But first, a couple of comments. Twenty plus years ago, that or an identical) Hydro one train was stored in the GE plant in Guelph, accessed by OSR at the time on the lead into the two long industrial spurs at the northwest part of Guelph.
If I'm not mistaken, the Trafalgar facility was accessed by a long spur from the CP(KC) Galt Sub at Hornby. The spur is still in place, although, to my knowledge, not used for anything other than empty car storage for years. I'm only aware of two Schnabel loads going down that line, decades ago.
Does, or did, CN also have a spur into that Hydro plant from the Oakville Sub or was the load in this photo turned over to CP for delivery?
