Comments on: Southbound ONR Northlander shown here stopped at South River back in the days when there actually were more passengers along the line. Lead unit retired in 1993 and scrapped in 2000. In the last years of the service (train discontinued in 2012) the station was boarded up and VIA brought in a waiting room kiosk for any passengers. Of course vandals tried to make short work of both. Young lady in photo was sidekick of the photographer back then and its already been many years since she wizened up and moved on. :o)
