Comments on: Spring is in the air !!! It had better be. This was the first of May. Back in the day most often when a light was up indicating an approaching train, collective groans from the fans could be heard when either Budds or Tempo engines made their appearance. So tiring. But we didn’t really think at the time that all this would become history. Photographed here is CN 3151 with the mid-afternoon train heading west, destination Sarnia. The six units, 3150-3155 used for “Tempo Service” were all retired in 1983.

More history and memories captured. The 3151 will put on quite the show starting up the hill on the Dundas Sub. when the tail end clears Bayview.
