<title>Comments on: Still fresh CN SD40u 6002 is pictured on display in downtown London, Ontario in June 1993 to celebrate the city’s bicentennial of transportation. The recently rebuilt unit was on display with brand new Conrail SD60M 5564, which had just rolled out of London’s GMDD plant, located only a few miles away. Also, on exhibition for the event were black CN plow 55614, two VIA Rail 5500-series coaches and a CP 85000-series boxcar.

SD40u 6002 was originally built as CN SD40 5118 during 1969 at the GMDD plant in London and was eventually remanufactured by AMF in Montreal and released on January 26, 1993. Many years later, both it and sister SD40u 6004 were severely damaged in a wreck at Alix Junction, Alberta in May 2007 and subsequently retired.</title>
