<title>Comments on: Stranded. The Montreal, Maine &amp; Atlantic&#8217;s short Stanbridge Subdivision is not in use, as Transport Canada is &#8220;restricting movements on the subdivision until the track has been assessed by a professional engineer and the conditions under which a safe movement may occur have been provided&#8221;. The branch line is in very bad shape, with 100 lb rail, rotting ties, etc. This train, with MMA 8583 and 8 cars is therefore stranded both because of this decision and because their are 2 derailed cars about half a mile north of where this train is stranded (at MP 6.15 of the sub). Apparently this train has been there a couple of months! There are also three grain cars stranded near the end of the line in Bedford. As I was taking pictures, a farmer ploughing his field came up to ask me what all the fuss was about. He can&#8217;t understand why so many people have been coming by to take photos. Just as I got here, a young couple with a 5 year old child came to take pictures of their son propped up on the engine!</title>
