Comments on: *** Submission possible with restoration help from Jacob Patterson – Thank-you *** – CPR 5361 sitting in the TH&B Aberdeen yard in Feb 1987. There was a great assortment of old equipment in the out of service tracks in the yard at the time. Not so long after this photo was taken the 1926 MIKADO was moved on rails to Depew, New York (WNY Buffalo area) for a private collector and restoration. There was a lot of chatter in 2018 about scrapping the old CLC loco unless a buyer could be found with 100K USD but whether or not it was scrapped is unknown to me.

My understanding is the 5361 was purchased, is in fair condition but well painted at this time. Unfortunately, she is on the remains of a dead siding, blocked on one end by a permanent structure and no connection on the other end. CSX could move it out, but some extensive track work would be involved. If she ever goes, it'll be by crane and truck. She's a beautiful engine.
