Comments on: Such an impressive number of wood loads!! This is the daily CN #431 starting out of Mac Yard as seen from the Hwy 7 bridge over the throat of the yard. It saddens me that a sprawling plant down in Thorold South in the Niagara Peninsula could take loads like this nearly every day at the Ontario Paper Company located there; only to die a slow death and close up a few years ago. Niagara has become an industrial graveyard. In much better days, we see a couple of MLW heavyweights, CN 2313 and 2030, heading out. Yes, I followed this train all the way back to St. Catharines, where I was living at the time. By then, the daylight had faded.

All the other cars here are lined for repairs in the car shop just out of this classic frame. All of that is gone now.

Graveyard Niagara indeed…this is a great throwback…boxcars galore, pulp wood for Thorold (which is now a Bitcoin Mining site….seriously). and what even looks like a pay phone shelter…thanks for this AWM !

And lots of empty flats, likely for pipe loading down in the Welland area. This train was always a fan favourite with its wonderful scent of pine logs. I found these other images of yours taken of the same train on this day. All fantastic !
