Comments on: Sun is shining on me and it is a busy day at Fort Erie. All is good. Chessie 4274 and 4087 lead the return transfer back toward the USA while the Conrail guys take a break for lunch I would think. There was a couple of eating establishments on Courtright St, right behind the MCRR/TH&B station that would keep them occupied while waiting to return Stateside. Conrail units are 9541 and 9578. B/W shot with Crown Graphic 4×5.
With the steady decline and eventual demise of the CN facilities in town as well as the end of the transfers, the eating establishments suffered badly and now all of them along that street are empty and boarded up.

If I had known beforehand Chessie was coming up alongside I would have parked the car out of the photo, but had just driven up to grab a quick CR shot. But, the old Heap is a classic now.if one can ever find an example.
