Comments on: SW1200RS CN 1321 and its train are heading timetable west (compass south-west) over Sixteen Mile Creek. The crewman turned away from his side window appears to be watching the train through the cab back windows. A derailment here would be worse than usual – the river is quite a way below.

Regrettably I only photographed here one July day in 1992. Partly due to there being no parking nearby, also because the prints I got back were distorted, curving the bridge steel (due to lab print processor, not my lens & negative! )
The spot is still available, but the third track bridge that was added blocks the sky between the steel trusses, while the bridge top received safety rails – I’d insist on safety rails if I had to work on a bridge, but …
